Quick but BIG update this time, as we had our scan this week … I have so much to say (shocker) about what life’s been like over the past couple weeks leading up to this, but I’m still chewing on it all, and right now I just want to get the news out to everyone that’s had us in their thoughts and prayers. PET/CT showed that while a few lung nodules have gotten a little “hotter,” again they have not grown much, if at all. We did learn that a few of them might be a little bigger than we thought (they have been all along, we just didn’t realize) and a few are in some areas that might give me trouble down the road (near heart and airway), but the fact I’ve been off chemo and receiving no systemic treatment since my last infusion Feb 1 and the tumors have NOT grown appreciably is great news! We have several appointments coming up, including a big one at the National Cancer Institute next week, but the consensus of the Georgetown team on Wednesday was that we can take a wait and watch approach for another 3 months. Wow. Wow. Wow. Driving around Tuesday afternoon, waiting for a call again, talking to God … it’s just not possible to express how grateful I am to God to get these 3 months and how thankful I am to everyone that’s been praying alongside us. I will give another update after our appointments this week, and I’m also going to try to put a few important thoughts down once I process a little more – until then, much thanks and love to everyone – have a great weekend!
