An awesome Good Friday update from the Graber’s spring visit to NYC:
–After five hours of surgery Joe is awake and alert!
–99.9% of the larger tumor taken out. It was about 8cm–a little larger than expected.
–His Phrenic nerve was protected.
–Five nodules from lungs removed.
–The remaining tumor on the right Phrenic Nerve and other nodules large enough to treat with radiation will be hit later. CT scan will be done first.
–If his vocal chords were damaged an ENT can repair later down the line.
–Joe feels like he was hit by a truck.
–He will be in ICU through the weekend.
–Christie and Joe in NYC through the 13th.
The kids are doing are great!
